EPS Files Pixel-based file (like a photo)

  • This is an image that was placed onto an Illustrator page and saved as eps.
  • The placed file was probably a jpg, gif or tif file
  • Cannot print in PMS/spot colors - only as CMYK or composite
  • Will print with a jagged, pixellated border if sized too large
  • Cannot be easily edited or change

True vector artwork

  • Can be resized to ANY dimension and maintain sharp, clear lines.
  • Can carry PMS color definitions and print in spot colors as well as be converted to CMYK
  • Can be easily edited in Illustrator.
